Take the Expo Line SkyTrain east from downtown to Main Street-Science World station. Pacific Central Station sits right beside it, so there is no transfer and no long walk once you step off the train.
Expo Line from Granville or Waterfront
Granville station is a stop before Stadium-Chinatown, and Main Street-Science World comes after that. From Granville the trip is two stops. Trains toward King George or Production Way-University both pass through, so either one gets you there. Waterfront station is the western end of the same line, which makes it an easy boarding point if you are near Gastown or the cruise terminal.
The station is across Thornton Park from the rail and bus terminal at 1150 Station Street. Main Street-Science World has entrances on both sides of Main Street, and the terminal is a short walk from them. Check the TransLink trip planner for departure times, since frequency changes through the day.
From Yaletown, the West End and Coal Harbour
Canada Line stations such as Vancouver City Centre and Yaletown-Roundhouse do not connect directly to Pacific Central. The usual routing is to ride the Canada Line to Waterfront, which is also an Expo Line station, and change trains there. Burrard station, between Waterfront and Granville, is also on the Expo Line.
Stadium-Chinatown is another option if you are near BC Place. It is the next station before Main Street-Science World.
At the station itself
Pacific Central is Vancouver’s intercity bus terminal and the stop for VIA Rail’s The Canadian and the Amtrak Cascades. Bus operators there include FlixBus, Rider Express and the BC Ferries Connector. The station is open from 4:30 in the morning until midnight.
Same-day parking is available at the station and fees may apply. Overnight parking is not offered, so anyone leaving a car for a longer trip needs a different arrangement. Confirm current parking details with the station before you drive.
Walking, cycling or a taxi
The walk from downtown is long enough that most travellers with luggage will skip it. A taxi is the sensible choice for early departures or heavy bags, and the Vancouver taxi page shows how to book one.
