How to get from Downtown Vancouver to Pacific Centre?

2 min read Updated

Pacific Centre sits in the middle of downtown Vancouver, so from most downtown starting points the easiest way to reach it is on foot, or by a short SkyTrain or bus ride if you start farther out. The mall describes itself as the heart of downtown fashion and notes a SkyTrain connection.

Walking in from downtown

Anywhere in the core, walking is usually quicker than waiting for a bus. Follow a map app to the CF Pacific Centre entrance nearest to you. The mall has several levels, and its Guest Services desk is on Level M1, which is a good meeting point if you are joining friends.

SkyTrain and bus from farther away

The centre advertises a SkyTrain connection, which makes the train the natural choice from other parts of Metro Vancouver. TransLink runs the SkyTrain and the downtown buses, and its trip planner shows the best station and route from your starting point on the day you travel. Bus numbers and stops change over time, so rely on the planner instead of an old route list.

Driving and parking

Driving is the hardest way to get downtown. Parking rates, entrances and height limits are set by the centre, and they change, so open the parking section on the CF Pacific Centre website before you go. Busy shopping times, such as Thursday and Friday evenings and weekends, are when finding a space takes longest.

Opening hours and taxi drop-off

The mall lists these regular hours: Monday and Tuesday 10 am to 7 pm, Wednesday 11 am to 7 pm, Thursday and Friday 10 am to 9 pm, Saturday 10 am to 8 pm, and Sunday 11 am to 7 pm. Hours shift around holidays, so confirm on the day.

A taxi or rideshare lets you skip parking altogether, which helps if you are carrying shopping bags. Ask the driver to stop at the entrance closest to the store you want. You can compare costs with the Uber calculator, or find local cabs on the Vancouver taxi page.
