The simplest way from Vancouver to Chilliwack is to drive east on Highway 1, the Trans-Canada Highway. Chilliwack is about 100 kilometres east of Vancouver, with a four to six lane expressway running through it.

VIA Rail’s The Canadian stops in Chilliwack only as a flag stop, and it serves only westbound trains toward Vancouver. A Vancouver to Chilliwack trip by that train is not possible, so do not plan around it.
Chilliwack has its own local bus system, but no direct TransLink connection to Vancouver was found. Intercity coach companies may run between Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, and their stops, times and fares change.
