The simplest way from North Vancouver to Park Royal is a TransLink bus, either direct from your neighbourhood or via the SeaBus and a bus transfer. By road, Lonsdale Quay to Park Royal is about 6 km and 15 minutes.
Why Park Royal is easy to reach
Park Royal is in West Vancouver and runs on both sides of Marine Drive, with the north and south malls linked by pedestrian bridges and crossings at Main Street and Taylor Way. It also holds the Park Royal Exchange, the main transit exchange in West Vancouver, where several TransLink and West Vancouver Blue Bus routes stop. The R2 Marine Drive RapidBus ends here, which makes the mall a natural bus destination.
Bus and SeaBus from Lonsdale
Which bus you board depends on where in North Vancouver you start. Open the TransLink trip planner, enter your street or nearest intersection, and pick Park Royal Exchange as the destination. The planner will show current route numbers, departure times and any transfer. Starting from Lonsdale Quay, it will also show you whether a direct bus or a SeaBus plus bus plan is quicker at your hour.
Route numbers and frequencies change with each service update, so treat the planner as the final word. A Compass card or contactless payment covers both bus and SeaBus.
Driving over Lions Gate
Driving means crossing Lions Gate Bridge or using Marine Drive and the Capilano area, and both can back up at rush hour. Check live traffic in a map app before you leave. Parking details and any fees are on the shopping centre’s own website.
Taxi from North Vancouver
A taxi suits groups, shoppers with a lot of bags and anyone who would rather skip transfers. The taxi fare estimator gives a rough cost for the trip, and Vancouver taxi covers booking in the area.
If you ride a bike, the planner and a map app both show cycling routes, though the Lions Gate approach is busy and some riders prefer to avoid it.
Whichever way you go, the mall straddles a major road, so check which side your first store is on. Arriving at the exchange puts you close to both malls, but the pedestrian bridge or the Main Street crossing is the way over to the other side.
