The Vancouver Island University Cowichan campus is at 2011 University Way in North Cowichan, just outside downtown Duncan. Driving or taking a taxi is the simplest way to get there, and a BC Transit bus is the option for anyone without a car.

VIU lists the Cowichan campus at 2011 University Way, North Cowichan, BC V9L 0C7. Use that address in a map app rather than a street name from an older guide, because the campus is not at the address some websites still show. The campus phone line is 250 746 3500 if you need help finding a building or a parking area.
Driving from downtown Duncan
Put the address into a navigation app before you leave. It will give the current route, the drive time and any road works. Allow some extra time on weekday mornings, when students, staff and commuters are on the road, and look at the campus website for the current parking information, including any permit or payment rules for visitors.
By BC Transit
BC Transit runs the Cowichan Valley service. Open the BC Transit trip planner for the Cowichan Valley system, enter a downtown Duncan stop and the campus address, and pick the day and time you will travel. The planner shows which routes serve the campus, how often they run and whether a transfer is needed. Service in smaller systems is less frequent than in a city, so check the return trip before you set out.
Taxi from Duncan
A taxi suits early classes, heavy bags or a late finish when the buses have stopped. The Cowichan taxi page lists local options, and the taxi fare estimator gives a rough idea of the fare before you book.
If you are visiting for an appointment or an information session, tell the campus which entrance you plan to use and ask where visitors should park. Staff there can answer questions that a map cannot.
