How to get from Vancouver International Airport to River Rock Casino?

2 min read Updated

The simplest way from Vancouver International Airport to River Rock Casino Resort is the Canada Line. Ride to Bridgeport station, which is beside the resort. No bus connection is needed.

Canada Line to Bridgeport

Board at YVR-Airport station on the platform heading into Richmond. The train passes Sea Island Centre and Templeton, then reaches Bridgeport, where the line splits toward Richmond-Brighouse and downtown. Get off at Bridgeport. Bridgeport station is near River Road and Great Canadian Way, the same area as the resort, and the walk is short. Trains run from about 5:00 am to 1:00 am every day.

Trips that start at YVR-Airport carry a $5 AddFare on top of the regular fare. Pay with a Compass Card, a single-use ticket or a contactless card, and tap in and out. Look at TransLink’s fare pages for the current amounts, because they change.

Taxi or rideshare to the casino

A cab is the better choice after the last train, with heavy luggage or with a group. The trip across Richmond is short. Traffic on the bridges and Sea Island roads changes the time, so allow a margin if you have a booking. The taxi fare estimator gives a rough fare, and the Vancouver taxi page lists companies that serve the airport.

Shuttles from the airport hotels

Some travellers use a shuttle linked to the resort. Check the River Rock website for what is on offer, who can use it and when it runs, since services of this kind change often.

Which option fits

The train wins on simplicity and price when you land during the day. A taxi wins at night or when the group is large. If you have a hotel room booked, ask the front desk whether they can arrange transport for you.

  • Check the TransLink trip planner before you leave the terminal.
  • Confirm the last train time if your flight is late.
  • Keep your ticket or card handy for the gates when you exit at Bridgeport.
