The simplest way from Vancouver International Airport to McArthurGlen Designer Outlet is the Canada Line. Ride to Templeton station, which is only two stops from the airport, and walk across the street to the outlet.
Two stops on the Canada Line to Templeton
Templeton is the second station after YVR-Airport, with Sea Island Centre in between. The ride is short, about four minutes, and the walk from the platform to the outlet takes around five minutes. Trains run roughly from 5:00 am to 1:00 am every day.
No transfer is needed, and there is no bus leg or backtracking through Bridgeport. Anyone who sees an older route plan that mentions a bus from Richmond-Brighouse can ignore it for this trip.
Is the ride free?
Trips between Templeton and YVR-Airport are free. At a ticket machine, choose the Sea Island Only option so you do not pay for the wrong fare. Stations on Sea Island (YVR-Airport, Sea Island Centre and Templeton) carry a $5 AddFare for trips that start there and go on to the rest of the network, but that does not apply when you stay on the island. Taxi, rideshare or your own car
The outlet is close enough to the terminal that a taxi ride is short, and the saving over the free train is not a concern for most travellers. A car can make sense when you arrive with a pile of luggage or children, and the outlet offers parking for visitors. Use a map app on the day for the road route out of the airport.
