The simplest way from downtown Victoria to the Delta Hotels Victoria Ocean Pointe Resort is a short drive or taxi ride across the Johnson Street Bridge. It is about 6 km and 15 minutes by road, a little more at rush hour.
Crossing the Johnson Street Bridge by car
The resort sits on the harbour in the Songhees area, on the west side of the water from the Inner Harbour. From the downtown core you head toward the Johnson Street Bridge, cross it, and then follow the signs and your map app to the resort entrance. Enter the hotel address into a navigation app before you leave so the last turns are shown in order. Traffic on the bridge and on the roads beyond it slows down on weekday mornings and late afternoons, so allow extra minutes then.
Parking at the resort
Parking rates, valet options and nearby public lots change, and none could be confirmed for this page. Ask the hotel when you book, or check the parking section of its website before you arrive. If you are going for a meal or a short visit, ask the front desk what is available for non guests.
Taking the bus from downtown
BC Transit runs buses between downtown Victoria and the Esquimalt and Songhees side of the harbour. Route numbers, stops and how often buses run are updated from time to time, so use the BC Transit trip planner. Enter your starting point and the resort as the destination and it will show the current route, the stop to get off at and the walk from there.
Walking or cycling
The waterfront paths on the Songhees side of the harbour suit both walkers and cyclists. The distance from downtown is short enough to cover on a dry day, though the hills near the water can make a loaded bike or a suitcase hard work. Coming from Vancouver
From the mainland, you take a BC Ferries sailing from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay, then drive or ride to the city. The BC Ferries website has the current sailing schedule and reservation options, which matter most in summer and on long weekends. From the Swartz Bay terminal, a taxi or car can take you straight to the hotel without stopping downtown.
