The simplest way from Victoria International Airport to Brentwood Bay is a taxi or a pre booked ride. The airport and Brentwood Bay are both on the Saanich Peninsula, so the trip is short by road. By bus it takes a transfer and more time.
Taxi, rideshare and rental car at YYJ
Taxis pick up at the curb across from arrivals, at the Short Term Lot, and Uber has marked pickup spots along the same curb. Yellow Cab is the company the airport lists. Accessible vehicles can be reserved ahead, and the airport suggests asking at least an hour early. Rental counters for Avis, Budget, Hertz, Thrifty and National are in the arrivals area, with Alamo and Enterprise arranging pickup at the end of the arrivals hall.

BC Transit via Sidney
The airport lists BC Transit routes 70, 72, 87 and 88 as the buses that serve it, with trips toward Swartz Bay, downtown Victoria and the peninsula. Brentwood Bay is served by a separate local route, and BC Transit has been reworking peninsula routes, so the exact number and where you change buses depend on the current schedule. At the time of writing, Route 81 is listed as a Brentwood Bay, Saanichton and Sidney route, but confirm that in the BC Transit trip planner before you plan around it.
The airport quotes a $3.00 fare for trips to Sidney and Saanichton and a higher fare for most of Greater Victoria. Because Brentwood Bay can fall in a different fare band, check the amount in the planner or the app.
Late and early flights
Route 72A runs between Swartz Bay, the airport and downtown Victoria in the early morning and late evening, from September 8, 2026, at regular fares. It does not go to Brentwood Bay, so a night arrival may still need a taxi for the last leg.
