Coquitlam Centre is easy to reach by bus or SkyTrain, because it sits across from Coquitlam Central station. From Lougheed it is about 8 km and 15 minutes by road.
Coquitlam Central station next door
Coquitlam Centre faces Coquitlam Central, a station that combines a public bus interchange, a West Coast Express commuter rail stop and a SkyTrain station. That makes it one of the better connected malls in the Tri Cities. The Evergreen extension also added Lincoln station, which sits next to the mall.
If you are coming by SkyTrain, choose the station nearest the mall’s entrance you want and walk across. If you are coming by bus, look for a route that ends at or passes Coquitlam Central.
Finding your bus from the neighbourhood
Several TransLink routes feed the interchange from different parts of Coquitlam and the surrounding cities. Which one serves your home depends on the street you start from, so enter your address and Coquitlam Centre in the TransLink trip planner. It will give current route numbers, stop locations and the next departures. Route numbers and timetables are revised several times a year, and weekend service is often different from weekday service, so check on the day you travel.
Driving to the mall
The mall sits at the meeting of two major highways, so most drivers reach it from a main road within a few minutes of leaving home. Use a map app for live traffic, especially on weekends and around sale periods, when the approaches slow down. The shopping centre’s own website lists parking and any fees, so look there before you assume a free lot.
By taxi
