Uber is a rideshare service in Greater Victoria that takes bookings through its app. It launched in the region in June 2023 and covers the area from Langford to downtown Victoria and out to the Saanich Peninsula, including the Swartz Bay ferry terminal.
Uber is also available at Victoria International Airport (YYJ). Pickups happen at marked rideshare spots along the Short Term Lot curb, across from the arrivals terminal exit doors. For drop off, rideshare cars use the same areas as taxis and other vehicles. Uber says the service runs 24 hours a day, and that driver arrival can take longer for early or late flights.
- Booking: Uber app, sign up as a rider first.
- Pickup at YYJ: Short Term Lot curb.
- Minimum fare: $6.03 in the Capital Regional District from August 18, 2026, according to the Passenger Transportation Board rates reported by Canadian news.
No phone dispatch number is listed for Uber. The app shows a price estimate before you confirm, so check it against the metered rate of a taxi for the same trip. The Victoria taxi page lists local companies, and the airport taxi page covers airport rides.
