The most direct way from Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal to the rest of West Vancouver is Route 250, which leaves from the terminal and follows the waterfront communities toward Vancouver. By car the run from Ambleside to Horseshoe Bay is about 15 km and 20 minutes.
Route 250 and Route 262
Three bus routes serve the terminal: Route 250 to Vancouver, Route 257 the Vancouver Express, and Route 262 to Lions Bay, Brunswick and Caulfeild. Route 250 is the one that stops in West Vancouver neighbourhoods, including Dundarave, on its way toward the city. Route 257 is an express with limited stops, so it is not the one for Ambleside or Dundarave. Route 262 suits people heading to Caulfeild.

Getting to Dundarave and Ambleside by car
Horseshoe Bay is at the west end of West Vancouver, and the waterfront neighbourhoods sit east of it. Roads in the area can back up at busy times. A map app will give you the best choice for the day’s traffic and the exact turns for your address, which is better than relying on remembered street names.
Once in Ambleside, the waterfront has a seawall that leads along the shore toward Dundarave. It is a pleasant walk if you have time after the ferry.
Taxi or rideshare from the ferry
