Uber is a rideshare service that runs in Courtenay through its app and website. Riders enter a destination, see a price estimate for each ride option, and request a car. Uber’s city page says rides can be requested at any time, 24 hours a day, and booked up to 30 days ahead.
The app covers all of British Columbia, but a car only arrives if a driver in the area is online. In a smaller market like the Comox Valley, that can change from one hour to the next. Uber lists several ride choices, including group rides, and prices are shown in Canadian dollars before booking.
- Booking: Uber app or the Uber website, no phone dispatch number is listed.
- Area: Courtenay and Comox.
- Minimum fare: the Passenger Transportation Board set $3.94 for the Nanaimo, Comox Valley, Cowichan Valley and Alberni region from August 18, 2026.
Uber’s Courtenay page does not say anything about airport pickup, so check the app for the pickup options on your trip. Prices in the app move with demand, which means the estimate before you confirm is the number to rely on. For a taxi comparison in the area, see taxis in the Comox Valley, or run a trip through the Uber calculator.
